Years ago I had done the ISWS (International Silken Windhound Society) web site - and now I have re-done it! A CSS table-less layout with some updated graphics and a more aesthetic appeal. The organization has grown during the past few years adding various programs so we needed to update the navigation a bit and I also added an area for "quick links" at the bottom to expedite finding various forms and policies and other more popular areas of the site. The index page is a different layout than the rest of the site.
I will eventually add more images so that the picture on the index page and the picture at the top right of the other pages will rotate automatically.

The "OZZlings" - 10 weeks

10 week stacked pictures are posted on the litter's page at
http://www.gryffynsaeyrie.com/litter_achillesduri.html
There are also some candids taken this past Saturday of the little heathens running about and chasing a lure toy. I do mean heathens! I gave them a nice new stuffy Saturday morning, and within 15 minutes (if not less) it was completely destroyed. Fluffy bits everywhere! Annihilation!
Candid pictures start at http://www.gryffynsaeyrie.com/gallery/achilles-duri?page=8 in the online photo album.
I've also received several new pictures from owners that I am working on editing and uploading, and J/T's win picture for his first points/major is also now online at http://www.gryffynsaeyrie.com/gallery/jt/jt_nolanriver2009
The updates will be listed with direct links at http://www.gryffynsaeyrie.com/updates.htm

Picture Updates

Over the past couple months I have added BUNCHES of pictures to the Gryffyn's Aeyrie web site - show pix and various candids and puppy pictures. The latest photos were some stacks of J/T taken while we were attending the ASFA regional invitational on Thanksgiving weekend (including the lovely face shot to the left). Photos from the LSBC specialty show, puppy updates, even the 2007 Silkenfest photos that I recently (finally) ordered from Shot on Site (just kept putting it off - since I knew I was going to be ordering waaaaaay too much!).
So check out the updates page for a listing of updates with direct links to the goodies.

Pupdate
This past Saturday we were blessed with a milder day than we've had in a while with a wee bit of cloud cover. It was almost comfortable outside before noon!
Serena and Josi's pups were introduced to the world outdoors...and each other - we weaned Serena's crew, so they will now live together for a while. They also got to meet Ginger's pups, Goth and QiQi as we let them out of the puppy pen to take advantage of exercise in the full yard.
We took new shots of Darkun, Pryss and Perry (Harper/Ginger) - they're in that leggy, uneven stage, but they still look pretty decent. Darkun's coloring has become richer and more vibrant - it will be interesting to see where he finally ends up.
The Duncan/Josi crew turned 6 weeks old the previous Thursday (14th) - they didn't crouch as much this time around for their photo session. Yay!
This was the first stacked session for Serena's kids and they behaved pretty nicely! The worst, of course, was the smallest - she sure packs a lot of attitude into her little body. Some of them are getting call names...one being the tiny girl who is now called "Bitsy"...as any time we picked her up we would coo "look at the itsy bitsy puppy"
Links to the updated pages are at http://www.gryffynsaeyrie.com/updates.htm
There's also a new shot of Goth - also in a leggy stage, but definitely in
need of a new picture.

Site Update - Gryffyn's Aeyrie
Uploaded LOTS and LOTS of new pictures to the Gryffyn's Aeyrie site. I already received the pictures for Shugah's first show weekend and several others. There are also some candid photo updates of Josi and Serena's litters - but we will be trying to take some indie shots this weekend. List of updates with links can be found HERE.

Some New Pix and a Brief Update
Posted some new pictures we took this past weekend of the Spells pups that remain here (Nox, Azchyl and Pumpkin - 8 months), 2 of Sassi's, J/T and Shugah (7 months) as well as Peepers.
At the lure coursing in Cleburne this past weekend, Peepers turned it on for her JC run and surprised us by earning her first JC (Junior Courser) leg. Why surprise? In practice she rarely turned more than once! So it was great to see the switch go off and watch her put some effort into it! She looked pretty darned fast too - and got some nice compliments from bystanders there. Unfortunately, the brilliance only lasted halfway through the course the next day - so no JC title yet.
You can see in the picture of Peepers above that we had some pretty scenery at the coursing site. So we took advantage of it by bringing the Spells-girls with us the next day and snapping some photos. We also took advantage of the leafy tree in our front yard for pictures of J/T and Shugah.
I've uploaded the new pictures into the online albums at Gryffyn's Aeyrie and there are links to the individual albums on the Updates page.
I received some pictures from the Selmans of Lance and Tasha, and from Deb of Mukki. Need to get those downloaded, edited and uploaded as well!

Beautiful Spring Weekend
Last weekend was absolutely what I needed! Mild temperatures with a bit of wind - blue BLUE skies and signs of spring everywhere, with blooms of color appearing everywhere, and the grass a vibrant green. Kept the back door open throughout the morning to try and coax some of the fresh air into the house.
Victor had left for Boswell, OK (and WindyGlen) to attend the ASFA lure trials there and attempt some practice with Peepers, Wulf and Buster. For myself, I attempted to catch up on some work and some housecleaning (yuk!) and a bit later in the day, get some new pictures of some of our crew....namely, the youngsters. Ginger's pups were also introduced to the wide, wide world (of our backyard) and spent a few hours sunning in a large ex-pen setup.
I did manage to get gobs of photos of Missi, Tyler (about time I got some nice ones of him!), Gabe, Shugah and Goth. Also got a few of the other kids as well. I will be posting direct links to those on the Updates page at the Gryffyn's Aeyrie site.

Heathens, Photo Ops and Web Update
Wandered about the yard attempting to take candids of pups gone wild. Sassi's and Duri's pups that remain here were introduced to each other and after teaching Azchyl that little Munch was not, errrr, munchable - they played amiably for a few hours, part of which had me roaming about with them trying to snag some good photos. I did manage a little group shot of Sassi's crew together...
Left to right is J/T, Shugah and Munch.
Managed several stacked candids and some on the move. Nox was determined to plant her hiney on the ground at all times, especially when the camera lens was pointed in her direction, so when Victor returned home he got recruited to stack her for a decent shot. It seems like we've never had a proper stacked picture of her - she is maturing so nicely, along with her sisters Azchyl and Pumpkin.
All the new pictures are now posted online at the Gryffyn's Aeyrie web site!

Web Site Update - Kyrov Borzoi
Amy's site for Kyrov Borzoi has received a "facelift". Many of the original graphics are still being utilized - but it has had the frames layout removed and instead utilized a CSS layout - although tables were still utilized within the content area. It certainly "freshened"up the site's look.
Take a look HERE.

Web Site Update - Glacier Kennels
Updated the web site for Glacier Kennels today. Lisa had GREAT success with 2 pups from her Wire-Haired Pointing Griffon litter at the national specialty, along with some other wins, and her Borzoi Jewel also added a nice win to her credit at a Canadian Gazehound specialty show. She's also got plans for a future litter. Check is out at glacierkennels.com.

New Puppy Pics
Took some new pictures of our Spells Litter the other day now that their eyes are open and they have graduated from the "larval stage". They're quite the active bunch and very very mobile! They are started on mush, and the one at the food trough from beginning to end is the little spotted brindle girl - she is ALL about the food! Their photo album is online [ HERE ]. Here's a picture of the little boy I have got my eye on.
I also followed around in the yard the "Boogie Baby" pups that remain here (Wulf, Buster and Faina) and took some candid shots of them. Managed to get some nice shots of the little heathens and their pages are updated on our website and there are links from their individual pages to their online albums. Below is a picture of Wulf checking out the flora along the fence.

A Few Web Updates
This morning while walking down the driveway to try to spot a fat cottontail that Victor had seen when he went out to feed the horses, I came upon a sparkling, dewey spiderweb. Feeling the moment, I went and retrieved my Rebel from the kitchen counter where I had left it after taking new pictures of the "Boogie Babies" that remain here. I then promptly learned that it is a pain to attempt to take a picture of an arachnid's homey creation because the camera will not focus on its delicate filaments - but instead (in this case) the crape myrtle behind it. After a few failed attempts, I resorted to placing my hand in front of it and swiftly removing it as I snapped the shot - hoping autofocus wouldn't adjust again. I managed a few neat-o shots. I do have an album of non-dog-related shots on the Gryffyn's Aeyrie website that you can view here.
We also managed to update pictures of some of the dogs on our web site. Fawn (formerly known as "Pockets") was at the house visiting for a few days, so we took some nice new pictures. Also updated ones for Peepers, Zander as well as shots sent to us of Axl and Tripp. There is a list of updates with direct links here.
